We’re less than ONE WEEK out from our FREE Ten Year Anniversary Celebration, and we're excited you’ll be joining us to celebrate as we turn ten!  The Mother Earth Brewing Tap Room, as well as two beer stations located at the Brewery’s North St. service entrance and inside The Red Room (220 N Herritage St.) will open at 11am on Saturday, October 19th, with live music beginning at 12pm.  Here are a few things to take note of as you join us for this special day:

AXE THROWING – Stop by and visit our friends from Ironclad Axe Throwing at their booth located on Herritage Street in front of The Red Room! Test your skills and compete against your friends in the old world sport of axe throwing. Axe Throwing open from 11am-3pm (maybe longer).  (Note: closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for axe throwing participants.)

BEER - Beer will be available for purchase at three locations throughout the festival area.  Our flagship beer offerings will be available at two Mother Earth Festival Bars located on North St near the stage.  The Mother Earth Brewing Tap Room will be serving vintage offerings from our cellar, as well as a number of specialty items that will only be available in the Mother Earth Tap Room!  Sercy Spiked & Sparkling hard seltzer will also be available for sale at all beer stations.  If you’re looking for a cocktail, stop into The Red Room (220 N. Herritage St) for specialty mixed drinks featuring Mother Earth Spirits Gin and Whiskey.  Before visiting the bar, please visit one of our ID Check Stations on Herritage St. to obtain a wristband.  Please note customers will be served a maximum of two beers per person per transaction, per NC ABC laws.  Please do not take open containers outside of the barricades marking the boundary of the event.  Doing so could result in a citation for violating open container laws.

BREWERY TOURS - Free brewery tours are available throughout the afternoon.  Tours begin every 30 minutes from 1pm until 8pm (last tour at 8pm).  Tour sizes are limited, so patrons wishing to take a brewery tour should pick up a FREE ticket from the ID Check Station located in front of Mother Earth Brewing on Herritage St.  Tickets have designated tour times on them and are available on a first come, first serve basis.  Make sure you arrive at least five minutes prior to the start time of your tour and line up in front of the Brewery Main Entrance on Herritage St. (behind the ID Check Station).  Tours will last approximately 30 minutes and will conclude in the Mother Earth Brewing Tap Room.  The Mother Earth Brewery Tour is available to all ages.

DISTILLERY TOUR – Mother Earth Spirits is turning five years old!  Celebrate by participating in a FREE Mother Earth Spirits Distillery Tour conducted by Master Distiller Kevin Graham.  Tours of the distillery will take place at 2pm and 6pm, and are extremely limited in size.  Those wishing to take the Mother Earth Spirits Distillery Tour should pick up their FREE Distillery Tour Ticket from the ID Check Station located in front of Mother Earth Brewing on Herritage St.  Tickets have designated tour times on them and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure you report to Mother Earth Spirits at least five minutes prior to the start time of your tour and line up in front of the distillery entrance.  Tours will last approximately 30 minutes.  You must be 21 years of age or older to take the Mother Earth Spirits Tour.

FIRST AID - Should you require first aid or medical attention, please visit our First Aid area located at the ID Check Station across from The Red Room.  If you have an emergency, dial 911.

FOOD – Several local and regional food trucks will be on site with food available for purchase, and downtown Kinston offers many outstanding dining options to satisfy your hunger.  Refer to the map for more details on the locations of food trucks and restaurants.

ID CHECK - Two ID check stations will be available for patrons: on Herritage St. in front of Mother Earth Brewing and on Herritage St. in front of The Red Room.  Patrons should stop by one of these stations upon arrival prior to visiting the bar.  ALL PATRONS MUST HAVE A WRISTBAND TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL.  NO WRISTBANDS WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT PROPER ID. NO EXCEPTIONS.

INTERACTIVE ART INSTALLATION – Stop by and visit the smART Kinston Interactive Art Installation located at 214 W. North Street to learn more about the smART Kinston City Project Foundation and the artists who help drive Kinston’s economic growth through the arts.  Here, you’ll be able to participate in a live graffiti art project with the help of some of our smARTists, leaving your mark on downtown Kinston for years to come.  You will also have an opportunity to view and purchase works created by smART Kinston artists.  Open 12pm-7pm.

JUBILEE – Jubilee Hazy IPA is a celebratory beer brewed in celebration of ten years of Mother Earth Brewing!  Jubilee will be available on tap in the Mother Earth Tap Room, and a limited number of bottles will be available for sale in the Mother Earth Trading Post.

LIVE MUSIC - We’re excited to be hosting The No BS! Brass Band as the headlining act for the Ten Year Anniversary Party!  Live music begins on our North St. stage starting at 12pm with local recording artist Driskill, and continues throughout the day.  Set times (approximate) are as follows:
12pm - Driskill
2:30pm – The Monterio Experience
5pm – Forest Hill Band
7:30pm – No BS! Brass Band

OUTDOOR GAMES – Stop by our Outdoor Games Garden located at the corner of Herritage and North Streets to enjoy Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, Ladder Golf, and more.  These games are FREE and open to guests of all ages!

PARKING - If you’re driving to the event, there are several lots around the brewery that offer free parking.  (View the map here).  Street parking is also available along Queen St.

PHOTO BOOTH – What’s a party without a commemorative photo? Stop by our FREE photo booth, located inside the Mother Earth Tap Room, to capture your Ten Year Anniversary memories.

PROHIBITED ITEMS - The following items are prohibited within the event site:
Coolers
Glass of any kind
Outside Alcoholic Beverages
Weapons of any kind, including those carried with a permit

RECYCLING - At Mother Earth Brewing, we’re committed to doing our part to keep the earth clean and green.  Trash cans and recycling containers are placed throughout the event site.  Please help us keep the festival site clean by placing plastic cups and other recyclables in the blue recycling containers throughout the site and trash in designated containers.

RESTROOMS - Plenty of portable restrooms are located behind The Red Room and are accessible from North St, as well as in the parking lot behind the Tap Room & Beer Garden.

SERCY SPIKED & SPARKLING VIP LOUNGE – VIP ticket holders for the Ten Year Anniversary Party may access the VIP Lounge sponsored by Sercy Spiked & Sparkling across from the food trucks on North Street.  Proper credentials are required at all times for access to the VIP area.  VIP area open from 12pm-8pm.
