Mother Earth Brewing Wins Three Medals at Prestigious Beer Competition

Mother Earth Brewing of Kinston, NC is proud to announce that they’ve won three medals at the 2011 United States Open Beer Championships, including one gold medal.

Mother Earth Brewing won a GOLD medal in the “Wood/Barrel Aged Strong Ale” category for Tripel Overhead, a Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian Style Tripel; a SILVER medal in the “German Kolsch” category for Endless River, a Kolsch-Style Ale; and a SILVER medal in the “American IPA” category for Sisters of the Moon, an India Pale Ale (IPA.)

Over 1200 beers in more than 50 different categories were submitted in the competition, as well as over 20 international beers. The US Open Beer Championship is the only brewery competition to include professional breweries and award-winning home brewers. This competition is significant because it accepts entries from breweries around the world and allows national winning homebrews to compete.

Mother Earth Brewery is a 40 barrel craft brewery that bottles and kegs beer for sale in its Kinston, NC Taproom, and for distribution in bars, restaurants and retail locations throughout North Carolina.
